Robert Stanley Campbell

July 10, 1975 — January 27, 2022

Dale

Robert Stanley Campbell 46, was born on July 10th, 1975 and died January, 27, 2022 at his home in Dale.  These are the facts that people read when someone has passed, when they were born and when they are gone.  These two dates bring joy and then sadness, but the story of Robert’s life is so much more.  Anyone who knew Robert knew what brought him joy, his children.  Robert’s life here may have ended but his love and legacy will live on with Dakota, Dayton, and Kyra.
“My dad loved watching movies and TV shows with me. No matter if it was s show had already watched or a movie that cost $20 to rent. Every weekend we would sit down at night regardless of what we had done that day and watch something. Even if I was ahead of him on a show he would always watch where I ended not caring if he was lost. He would always ask me, “Do you think I watch too much tv?” And of course, I would say no because that is what I enjoyed doing with him?” ~Kyra
“My best memory is going catfishing at Lincoln and having turtles steal our bait off the hook” ~Dayton
“A year or two ago we took his boat to Tell City and we spent the afternoon cat fishing and talking. It was the first time in a long time we had really talked, and he told me he was proud of me” ~ Dakota
Robert was an extraordinary man striving to live an ordinary life.  His family life wasn’t a textbook fairytale but the support he showed his family, extended family, and his wife even after their marriage ended made him a modern-day prince charming.  Family vacations all together, holidays, birthdays, always there supporting and showing his children they mattered the most.  Robert’s love and support also extended to his siblings, his in-laws and his nieces and grandson. His presence in all their lives giving them memories that they will continue to cherish throughout their lifetimes.
A life full of love and happy moments does not always mean a life void of demons. As much as one person can love another or their children and family they sometimes choose to try and fight those demons alone.  Sadly, it cannot be done. There is strength in asking for help and being here for all the memories yet to be made.  In the memory of Robert Stanley Campbell and all of those that he loved and that have loved him, reach out, learn to live alongside your demons so you can be here to live alongside all that will be grieving you if you are gone.
“How blessed was I to marry a man that gave me butterflies and the two most amazing gifts of my life” ~Laura
He was preceded in death by his mother Toni Campbell in 1999.
He is survived by his father Malcom Stanley Campbell, sons Dakota (Christeen) and Dayton Campbell, a daughter Kyra Campbell, a sister Becky Vasquez, a grandson Holden Campbell and several nieces and nephews.
